Phillip A. Lysyj attended The Cooper School Of Art in Cleveland OH.
With a background in Mechanical Engineering he persued study in Graphic Arts, Layout/Design and Typography leading to a position at the historical Morgan Lithograph Company. Working in pre-production art for serigraphy(silk screen) print house, the 1980's saw Phillip creating his first custom designs and prints.
Gaining recognition overseas he traveled to England attaining influences that carry on to this day.
Starting his own studio lead to collaborations with Advertising Agencies and Interior Decorators,
further solidified a future in the arts. By the late 90's Phillip was utilizing computer,
photography, and various software's to creating imagery that today we can call astralscapes.
A Limited Edition reproduction of the astralscapes series, have been in-blazed on metal.
These Metal Masters are a Dye-Sublimation process on aluminum. This provided the richness
of translucent color not found in traditional printing methods, and unsurpassed in the
reproduction of detail inherent in Fractal imagery. In conjunction with the Metal Masters,
astralscapes designs have complemented silk scarves & cuff bracelets as astralfashion
In 2012 astralscapes were nationally recognized at the New York ArtExpo.
Phillip A. Lysyj was then featured as “Artist of the Month” with The Fine Art Registry,
and also as "Digital Artist of the Month” with Exhibitions Without Walls.
With over 25 years of collaboration with contractors, galleries and Interior Designers,
Phillip is also taking astralscapes into the world of Interior Design. Creating custom
accessory elements with astralscapes imagery on textiles, ceramic tiles, and wallpaper.
The possibilities for reproduction on new materials is ever growing. And providing
unlimited avenues to uniquely coordinate a personalized approach to any living space.
The Metal Masters have since been on display, to enthusiastic collectors, from New York City,
Las Vegas NV. and Monterey CA. 2014 brought astralscapes to the big stage in Las Vegas NV as
an artist showing entitled Order Out Of Chaos. In collaboration with BeGlobalMedia, the sublime
world of Fractals was introduced to audiences though a presentation of Art, Music, and Video.
